The Mississauga Senior Club has been embarking on a bettering health project for the elderly since July of 2024. Jennu Baskaran led her team to organize over ten safe walking routes for seniors in a multitude of parks in Mississauga. The Golden Maple Chinese Seniors Association happily headed to John C. Pallet Park at 2800 Erin Meadows Community Center on September 5, led by Ms. Baskaran and Paige Simms.

This walking program develops healthy activity habits among the elderly. Making good use of the many secluded and open parks here, the local elderly can meet up for a walk, and chat during the crisp autumn season. They can relax from a busy day of housework to joyously chat with each other and feel delighted physically and mentally! It's a great addition for healthy lifestyles!

Upon hearing the news, the Peel Council on Aging praised and applauded it! A health initiative for the elderly to have fun and a salute to a healthy future, this initiative is well worth promoting!
