Senator Victor Hu Heritage Award Presentation Ceremony

Victor Hu was born in Singapore on June 10, 1949, he immigrated to Canada with his wife and children in 1978, landing in Mississauga City, Ontario. After going through the adjustment and confusion that every new immigrant faces, Hu chose real estate investment and development, and soon showed his remarkable business talent. Victor Hu is passionate about public welfare and community service, and leads a number of immigration organizations to help new immigrants who have just landed in Canada, provide help in settling down, employment, and schooling for their children, so that they can integrate into the multicultural country faster. Over the years, Victor Hu has been committed to promoting the culture of China and Canada, as well as a major event in Canadian history, "the 100th Anniversary of the Chinese Exclusion Act." We hope that after his retirement from the Senate, he can continue to pursue his favorite cause and play a positive role in contributing to the friendship between China and Canada and Canada's participation in the international community.
